Bronwyn Thomas – sculptor

Who I am: Retiring to Clun in the Shropshire Hills 5 years ago allowed me to concentrate fully on low-relief organic sculpture

What I do: My work is a response to decaying, twisting vegetation, representing the shaping through life’s experiences. The living rock with its endless variation in surface texture accentuated with a limited range of colours, the language of continuity and change.

What inspires me:The immediacy and sensitivity of organic material, the perpetual change of colour and light with the seasons recording the particular time of year.

Why I do it: The process, though difficult at times, is immensely satisfying.

Why you should visit me The opportunity for stimulating and exciting discussion is welcome for visitors and artists alike.

Bronwyn is part of a group show at The Clun Barn, The Barn, 9 Church Street, Clun, Craven Arms, SY7 8JW
